if you have ever been in a accident, or a situation that is life threatening.
then you will understand "life passing before your eyes", when time seems to slow and the seconds became hours.
when everything looks different and things seem a little more in color.. .
Good Stories!
But I wonder why we didn't "Find God"?
Also..why didn't our lives flash before our eyes?
And I wonder what causes the mind to go to Slow Motion?

here a bit of intellectual humor for ya!!!.
a thermodynamics professor had written a take home exam for his graduate students.
it had one question: "is hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
senior moment.
an elderly floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that her car has been broken into.
she is hysterical as she explains her situation to the dispatcher:.
We go to the country every week to help my JW (Ugh!) mother in law. We went to the car wash that you drive thru to wash her car and saw an elderly lady sitting in her car.....sideways in the car wash!!!!...couldn't figure that one out!!!!
Hey be nice to "Golden Oldies!"

We had something like that happen too! My Mom in law was watching our son...12. and he fell down and cut his hand wide open! Not as serious as yours! (That would have scared me to death!) But here in the states..they won't touchyour child unless the person bringing them in has legal right to be the guardian or it is a life and death situation!! So we were about 2 hours away and they made him wait that long before they stitched him up..Poor kid almost passed out when they finally did. They had to shoot novacaine right into the cut to numb it! Crazy laws!

Beck..you are as sentimental as I am!!!!
Thanks for printing that..It is beautiful!
I remember being in a life or death car wreck. Everything went to slow motion.
I could see the hood of the car crunching up toward me. I remember wondering when it was going to stop...I bumped my head on the steering wheel and when it all finally stopped..I just sat there..waiting for time to catch up to me!Waiting for the pain to hit! I knew if I was seriously hurt ...I wouldn't feel it yet!
I had no flashbacks of my life..I had no thoughts of loved ones..just wondered if I was going to die..and hoped it wouldn't be too painful! Didn't even think about God!Or what would happen to me if I died!
I was in a fog after that..a police car took me to a garage where they towed what was left of my car..asked me if I was OK ..I guess I said yes..because he left me there. I was shaking so bad I couldn't hardly hold onto the phone. I called hubby .told him I didn't know where I was..he talked to the service guy and came and got me..took me home and I slept the rest of the day!
I was numb..that's it. I stayed in that fog for about a week! I think your body does that to protect itself against any additional strain!

See...I can be nice Kenpo!...Good Question...
ever notice how witnesses seem to have "selective sins"?
last i knew- gluttony was a sin, and to be avoided, yet so many witnesses are overweight!
they just think the end is coming, why be healthy, why lose weight, why work out, blah blah blah.
Hi! Are you Sweet Pea or Sweat Pea?Just wanted to tell youI I like your picture....Looks familiar though!
I too have seen some pretty stupid things at the K.H...Talking about getting drunk..A Ministerial servant and his wife took my hubby and I out one night and got us rip-roaring drunk..for the first time! They did that several times after that..only I didnt drink so much next time...They loved to go out drinking..his wife thought it was so cute!
They didn't warn us that liquor doesn't hit you right away! What nice friends they were!
I wonder why they didn't get disfellowshipped???
It all depends on what Hall you go to!!

well i had a surprise yesterday.
i received a phone call from an old witness friends daughter.i used to watch her a lot and she was almost like one of my own.
her mom had emotional problems and wasn't too fond of kids.
Thank you all so much!
Most of you seem to be in agreement..I need to take my time and see what happens.
As far as her illness goes..I do'nt know that much about her illnesses. I know that she said what ever they are giving her is making her swell up!
She seems very vulnerable right now..Idn't want to push her one way or anoter. I guess just listen to her and take it slow!
Thanks again to everyone...Golden Girl.
an article appearing in a local newspaper featured the building of a local kingdom hall.
next to the article, a seperate column liste some beliefs of jehovah's witnesses, after stating briefly who they are and how they originated.. the article then listed their beliefs as follows:.
only jehovah's witnesses can be saved.
Thank you for that info DB.
Is there anyway you can tell us what paper that was in? Maybe we can pull it up on the computer. I would love to show it to my JW Mother in law ! And Inactive JW hubby!
They would surely deny a few of them!
A funny thought. When My Hubby and I were JW's we had never been to a bar or nightclub before.(And we were 35)We had a local Brother and his wife take us to a nightclub and get us totally drunk for the first time! Good associations..sure they were!
ps..Hey Devon..JW's don't roll on the floor...Those are Pentecosts!(Keep up the good work!)
